A midcentury,
plainly restored.

The house was built in 1958, a low-slung midcentury on a quiet block east of Olive. It changed hands twice, kept its bones, and in 2021 went down to the studs in the gentlest sense — the proportions left alone, the materials chosen one by one.

What you'll find now: wide-plank white oak that runs the length of the floor without a transition strip; a custom standing-seam metal roof with a dry, deliberate edge; impact glass on every opening; ten-foot ceilings in the family room and the primary; bathrooms that lean spa, in stone and brass.

The kitchen is open to the family room and out to the courtyard. There's a wine refrigerator built in, a wide island for two cooks, and a pantry hidden behind a flush door. Cabinetry is rift-cut white oak; the counters are honed to keep the glare out of the morning.

Outside, the lot is a comfortable 7,500 square feet — and runs east toward the Intracoastal block. The newly reimagined pool and spa take the south side; a cascading waterfall, heated saltwater, and lighting tuned for after dinner. Two outdoor showers, hot and cold, on either end of the deck.

The primary suite is upstairs, a deliberate choice. Its private balcony catches the east and south exposures — the morning light over the pool, a breeze off the water. Three additional bedrooms are downstairs, a quiet wing for children or guests, one staircase from the primary.
